What has already changed?
Great Britain is no longer a member of the European Union. That means a lot in case of travelling, making business and so on. According to this decision, some regulations connected with travel documents have also changed.
Now, if you want to travel to:
- any country which is a member of the European Union
- Switzerland
- any country which is a member of the European Economic Area (EEA),
you will need to show a valid passport instead of your ID card. So, can I travel with my ID card? It is no longer a valid travel document.

- you are planning to work, study, or take an internship
