How to Apply for a Moroccan eVisa online?

Morocco boasts both deserts and ski resorts, not to mention it’s beautiful mountains and beaches. Whether your travels to Morocco are for business or pleasure, as of 10 July 2022, tourists can now apply for an eVisa. This comes as a result of the orders of King Mohammed VI, who wishes to boost tourism in the country after the impact of the covid pandemic. This means that you no longer have to go to the consulates in order to collect a hardcopy visa.

How to Apply and Documents Needed

The Moroccan eVisa is available through an online application platform which you can find right here. The platform is run by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The online eVisa form shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes to complete.

You just need to provide your personal details including:

  • Your travel information
  • Proof of residence
  • Passport
  • Passport photo (4x5cm)

How Long it Takes to Arrive

In the majority of cases, eVisas for Morocco applications are processed in between 24 and 72 hours. 72 hours is thought to be the standard time. Electronic visas can be thought of as express visas, which can be obtained at short notice.

How Long is it Valid and How Long Does it Allow You to Stay For?

The eVisa allows a single individual to visit the country of Morocco. The electronic visa is valid for a period of 180 days after being issued. Approved Moroccan eVisas allow holders to visit for up to 30 days. That said, this can be extended once in Morocco for a period of up to 6 months.

Who is Eligible for the Moroccan eVisa?

The eVisa is available to citizens from 49 countries but a communique coming from the Ministry of Foreign affairs has stated that the eVisas will be issued in three different categories of foreign nationals:
