What is it exactly?
This multi-year card allows you to stay in France to carry out a mission for more than 1 year during a temporary company’s employee group transfer. The card is valid for a maximum of 3 years. If the length of stay is more than 3 months and not longer than 1 year, a long-stay visa equivalent to a residence permit (VL-TS) mentioning “salarié détaché ICT” is sufficient.

People who can obtain the ICT seconded employee residence permit:
- You are foreigner (except European or Algerian),
- Obtain a long-stay visa or an ICT seconded employee VLS-TS,
- You come to France to occupy a senior management position or to provide expertise,
- You have an employment contract with the company that employs you abroad,
- You have held your senior position for at least 6 months in the company which employs you.
How to apply for the ICT seconded employee residence permit?
IF YOU LIVE IN FRANCE
You must submit your application within 2 months before the expiry date of your visa (or residence permit) to the prefecture (or sub-prefecture) of your domicile.
If you submit your application after the deadline, except in cases of force majeure or presentation of a valid visa, you will have to pay a regularization visa fee of € 180, in addition to the cost of the card.
IF YOU LIVE ABROAD
Submit your residence permit application to the French consular authorities in your country of residence.
What are the documents to provide to apply for the permit?
- Long stay visa,
- Passport,
- Birth certificate,
- If you are married: extract of marriage certificate,
- If you have children: extracts of the birth certificate of your children with affiliation,
- Proof of residence dated less than 3 months,
- 3 photos,
- Form No 15619*01 and documents requested in this form,
- Employment contract concluded with the company which employs you outside France or any equivalent document in the law in force locally,
- Proof of resources greater than or equal to € 1,539.42 gross per month,
- Proof that the company that employs you and the one you are carrying out the assignment for belong to the same group of companies,
- Diplomas corresponding to the functions of an executive or expert,
- Proof of payment of tax and stamp duty.
